Lenten Devotionals and Soup Lunches

Join us on Wednesdays from February 25 through March 25 for a short Lenten devotional at 11am, followed by soup at 11:30.

Lent is often thought of as a somber season, but at its heart it prepares us to receive the Easter gift of resurrection life. Together, we’ll explore what might be getting in the way of hope and new life — and how we can ready ourselves for what God longs to give.

Come for the devotional, the lunch, or both.

Wednesdays @ 6:30pm or Thursdays @ 1pm

February 25–March 26

This Lent we’ll read and discuss How Good Do We Have to Be?: A New Understanding of Guilt and Forgiveness by Harold S. Kushner.

If you’d like to join, please RSVP to Pastor Alwen at pastoralwen@gmail.com.

Slide & Spin (Ice Skating Social)

We may not look like Olympians (yet!), but LCM members and guests are invited to lace up for an ice-skating adventure.

Whether you're steady on your skates or just trying not to fall, come for the skating and stay for the fellowship.

Sign up at the Welcome Center.

Sunday, February 22 (after worship)

Girl Scout Cookies

Satisfy your sweet tooth or share some sweet, crunchy love.

Adrienne J. will be selling Girl Scout Cookies after worship on February 22.

Throughout February

Silent Auction Donations Needed

It’s time to dig out those treasures — maybe the antique wine glasses you never use, or the unopened blender that’s been sitting in a box.

We’re collecting new or collectible items for our March silent basket auction to support LCM youth attending summer camp at Sky Ridge and Rainbow Trails.

Jewelry, kitchen items, home décor, wine, baby blankets, garden items — and empty baskets (especially large ones!) — are all welcome.

Donations may be placed in the lower kitchen during February. For gift cards or higher-value items, please see Kathy B.

Now through February 22

Urgently Needed

The St. Francis Center in Denver is seeking new or gently used warm blankets and sleeping bags. Many of the 600+ people who visit the center during the day are sleeping outside at night.

LCM is collecting donations in the worship area (look for the bears!) through February 22.

If you have questions, please speak with a member of the Samaritan Ministry or Lisa M.

Sunday, March 1 @ 10:20am

Moral Courage

Lessons from Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Silas Soule

Join Pr. Carl H. and Joan J. to explore what the stories of Lutheran theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Colorado whistleblower Silas Soule might teach us in 2026.

If these names are new to you, this discussion is for you. If you know them well, this discussion is for you, too.

We’ll gather in the worship area for about an hour. Sign up at the Welcome Center.

Tuesday, March 10 @ 6:30pm

JAM Meeting

LCM’s Justice Advocacy Ministry will meet at 6:30pm.

We’ll discuss the upcoming Zoning Information Meeting on March 15 and Together Colorado’s Faith Lobby Day on March 23.

Sunday, March 15 @ 3:30pm

Confused About Zoning?

Get the Facts Before You Vote

LCM welcomes Ward 4 Councillors Dave R. and Bill F., Mayor Strom, and staff from the Lakewood Planning Department to share information about proposed zoning changes that will appear on the upcoming ballot.

Bring your questions.

Saturday, March 21 @ 6:30–8pm

Silent Auction & Jazz Evening

Kevin C’s jazz band, Category5, will play in the worship area while final bids are placed on Silent Auction baskets.

We’ll serve appetizers and desserts, announce winners between sets, and celebrate sending LCM youth to summer camp.

Bidding opens March 8. Invite friends and guests to join the fun.

Sunday, April 12 @ 2pm

Let’s Go See The Wiz

A group from LCM will attend The Wiz at the Littleton Town Hall Arts Center.

Please sign up soon so Holly can determine if we qualify for a group discount. Payment is due by February 22.

March 15, April 19 & May 17

Social Tables (Groups of 5–7)

Sign up at the Welcome Center to join or host a small dinner gathering.

Hosts provide the main dish; others bring appetizers, side dishes, or dessert. It’s a relaxed and fun way to get to know the people you see on Sunday mornings.
